Peoples of Nepal on Celeberation

KATHMANDU, May 29 - Activists of different political parties, civil society and different organisations have been taking out rallies since Wednesday welcoming federal democratic republic in the country.
The citizens were seen enjoying in the streets till late night after the republic announcement by the Constituent Assembly from Birendra International Convention center after midnight.
Despite the late meeting and bomb attacks outside the venue, people eagerly waited for the announcement of the implementation of republic.
Rallies were organised at Gongabu, Maharajgunj, Chabahil, Baneshwor, Koteshwor, Putalisadak, Bhaktapaur including several districts to celebrate the historical phase. People also lighted up the houses and government offices observing ‘Deepawali’ to mark the declaration.
The government has already announced that the nation will observe Republic Day every year on 15th of the Nepali month Jestha.

royal flag removed from Narayanhiti

Following the announcement of republic, the Narayanhiti palace authority has removed the royal flag from the main tower of the palace Thursday morning.

The flag had been the insignia of the royal shah dynasty. Now the government plans to put up the national flag later today.
A group of people tried raising national flag at the front gate of the palace but were dispersed due to police intervention.
The police also mercilessly beat some youths who tried to raise national flag on top of the King's Mahendra's statue at King's Way.
A group of people chanted slogan in favour of republic asking former king Gyanendra Shah to vacate the palace immediately.
The historic constituent assembly on Wednesday had asked the government to turn the royal palace into a national museum and instructed the government to order Gyanendra to vacate the palace within 15 days

Nepal

Nepal...
Never end peace and love.. a quote i always use to read in our memo book while we were in the college...but.. since 2052 onward.. we loose the peace and love and we get quarrel and war.. but now the constitutional election was also completed and new government is also going to be formed with the vision of New Nepal.
We all nepalese want only.. peace.. then only later on we will think about the development..
